Patrol Unit

Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Car

The Patrol Unit of the Law Enforcement Division consists of the uniformed deputies which perform traditional law enforcement functions. The members of the Patrol Unit respond to routine and emergency calls for service, conduct traffic enforcement, and enforce all state laws and local ordinances. The Patrol Unit is staffed to serve our citizens in Liberty County. Members of the Patrol Unit, working 12 hour shifts and using marked patrol vehicles, perform random high-visibility twenty-four hour patrols throughout Liberty County. The members of the patrol unit work by implementing the principals of community oriented policing to build partnerships and trust with citizens.

Currently, the Patrol Unit consists of two Sergeants and six Deputies. One Sergeant is partnered with a certified narcotics detection K-9 to perform drug interdiction traffic enforcement.
