The Liberty County jail is operated by the Sheriff of Liberty County. It is a correctional facility that houses over 80 inmates. LCSO jail also houses female inmates from Calhoun and Gulf Counties.
These individuals are awaiting trial, sentencing, or are serving short-term sentences.
The Liberty County Jail is responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates, including providing them with food, clothing, and medical care. We also offer vocational programs, counseling services, and substance abuse treatment to help prepare inmates for reentry into society.
